Farhan Akhtar is all set to take on the role of a soldier in his upcoming film 120 Bahadur. The story of the movie revolves around the lives of the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during this significant chapter of the 1962 Indo-China war. On the 62nd anniversary of the Battle of Rezang La, the actor-director took to Instagram to share the exciting news with his fans along with paying homage to the martyrs of the devastating war.

Akhtar will feature as Major Shaitan Singh who led the 13 Kumaon Regiment’s Charlie Company which took an extraordinary stand during this pivotal event.
The actor-director shared the first-look poster of the movie with a long note on his official X (formally known as Twitter) account.
The note reads, “It’s been 62 years since 1962. Today, we honor the unparalleled courage and sacrifice of the heroes of Rezang La. 120 Bahadur. This is our tribute to the valor and the indomitable spirit of Major Shaitan Singh and his brave men, who stood their ground against insurmountable odds. Their story echoes through time, reminding us of the price of freedom and the strength of unity, with a special salute to the Ahir community, whose sons displayed unmatched bravery in defending our nation (sic).”
Helmed by Razneesh Ghai, 120 Bahadur set to disclose the life story of the unsung heroes of our country with a theme of patriotism, courage and honor.

Plot of 120 Bahadur
The set back on November 18 1962 when in the freezing heights of Ladakh, 120 soldiers of Charlie Company got into a combat against an invading force of over 3,000 Chinese troops.
Although there are quite less in numbers than the invaders, they showed immense bravery and high spirit throughout the battle. In the shivering cold and fatal injuries these soldiers fought till their last breath in order to safeguard the border of the nation.
Rezang La has turned into a symbol of sacrifice and bravery in Indian military history due this monumental contribution of the martyrs.
