Sukhwinder Singh said he cut down the fee by 40% for college performances

Singh told the outlet, “It is also a great experience for me. Some time ago, I decided that I would cut down my fees for college performances by almost 40% as I know that students don’t have big budgets.Woh bechare to khud hi idhar udhar se budget laate hain, so I try not to turn down any request that I get from colleges. Also, when I am going to perform at colleges, I am okay if they can’t get me hotel accommodation, etc. In Mathura, they (students of a college) asked me if I would want to stay in a hotel, but I told them that I would stay in a hostel and would eat in the hostel with students. For me, it is a different experience to be in colleges and interact with students,”

He also said he is greatful for being one of those artists who sing for college students.

Sukhwinder later on unveiled his playlist for college performances for many years. “Students want high-energy performances with some motivation. One needs to be highly charged for performing at any college to match the energy of the crowd. I try to save my energy and maintain a low social profile for days before performing at any college,” he says, noting, “Whenever I get a request from any college, no matter which city it is, some songs are always mentioned in the list of songs they want me to perform. They are Chak De, Jai Ho, and Kar Har Maidan Fateh. Chhaiyya Chhaiyya is another favourite one that is always on my playlist.”

Moreover, he also revealed that he is proud to be performed in one of most prestigious college of India. Sukhwinder said, “I have been to the best colleges of Delhi University, and it is always good to be back here. The vibe and energy are different at every college.”

As for the college, he is looking forward to performing in the future, he shared, “The only place in Delhi where I have not performed and look forward to performing is JNU. I want to perform there, and I hope that I will get a chance in the future.”

Sukhwinder also proudly shared that during the 22 years of his performance, there isn’t any record of any ancient or unwanted incidents.

“Wherever I have performed, in big cities or even in tier-2 cities, I have never faced any problem with security, crowd management, etc.,” he shared.
