Karan Johar’s upcoming action-thriller film ‘Kill’ is all set to hit the theatres this July. On Monday, June 10 the director-producer announced the news via his official Instagram account. The film will start streaming on Netflix on July 5. Moreover, he also warned the viewers to be careful while watching the film since it will feature some intense violent scenes. The film had earlier premiered at The Toronto International Film Festival and gained immense positive reviews there. Let’s check out some more details about this story.
‘Kill’ will start streaming on Netflix from July 5
Johar shared a few posters of Kill and captioned his post, writing, “Get ready to get a taste of the bloodiest ride Indian cinema has ever offered!
#KILLTrailer OUT SOON! Starring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal and Tanya Maniktala. Written and directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat. India theatrical release – 5th July. Warning: This film contains violent content which may be intense and disturbing for some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised (sic).”
The film stars Lakshya Lalwani, Raghav Juyal and Tanya Maniktala.
Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat the film’s synopsis on TIFF’s official website reads, “In Nikhil Nagesh Bhat’s relentless martial arts thriller, a passenger train bound for New Delhi becomes a bloody battleground of brutal close-quarters combat as a pair of commandos square off against a 40-strong army of invading bandits.
As for the film it is filled with some blood, there’s violence and nail-biting hand-to-hand combat sequences. Previously the teaser for Kill was released on April 4, featuring debutant Lakshya Lalwani in the lead role. Produced by Dharma Productions and Lionsgate, the teaser also shared a disclaimer about the graphic violence to follow.
Sharing the teaser on social media, producer Karan Johar wrote “One night. One train. One reason to…#KILL (sic).”
Moreover, it also revealed the film which gained immense praise at The Toronto International Film Festival release date along with a warning note. “July 5th, 2024. This film contains violent content which may be intense and disturbing for some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised (sic),” the caption noted.
For now, fans have to wait a little longer to see how the new talent will shine on screen.
