Squid Game season 2 will release on Netflix on December 26
On August 1 the online streaming platform officially announced the release of the much-awaited series.

While sharing a 43-second long video on social media, Netflix announced the exciting news writing, “The real game begins. Squid Game Season 2 is coming December 26. The Final Season coming 2025.”
The video features the Front Man witnessing the deadly and later asking the audience, “It’s been three years. Do you want to play another game?”
Prior to the release the series’s creator, director, and executive producer Hwang Dong-hyuk also shared a loving note for the fans, which said, “I am thrilled to see the seed that was planted in creating a new Squid Game grow and bear fruit through the end of this story.”
As for the synopsis of season 2, it reads, “Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 remains determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their vicious sport. Using this fortune to fund his search, Gi-hun starts with the most obvious of places: look for the man in a sharp suit playing ddakji in the subway. But when his efforts finally yield results, the path toward taking down the organisation proves to be deadlier than he imagined: to end the game, he needs to re-enter it.”
