Justin Baldoni showered praises over It Ends With Us Co-star Blake Lively. In an interview with Today, The Jane the Virgin alum who also serves as the director and writer of this upcoming venture revealed how he admired the smartness and creativity of his co-star. Like Baldoni, Lively is also taking dual responsibilities in the film as a co-producer.
The movie is the official adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel of the same name and features Lively as the female lead Lily Bloom and Baldoni as one of the two male protagonists Ryel Kincaid. As based on one of the best-selling novels of all time expectations are quite high with this upcoming venture. Let’s check out what the actor has said about his co-actor.
Justin Baldoni said Blake Lively is more than an actress and fashion icon
Talking with the outlet, Baldoni shared, “I don’t know if you know how smart and creative she really is. I think she’s best known as an actress and of course she’s a fashion icon, but she is so much more than that.”
Based on Colleen Hoover’s 2016 best-selling novel of the same name, the story revolves around a young beautiful woman, Lily Bloom, who struggles from an abusive childhood. After her boyfriend Atlas Corrigan leaves for military commitment she comes across Ryel Kincaid, a neurosurgeon with a huge anger issue. Despite wanting to keep things casual, Ryel and Lily fall in love.
This isn’t the first time Justin gushed over talent of Blake’s, previously on August 6, during the film’s premiere at the New York City premiere he expressed his admiration for the month of four.
“She is a creative force,” Justin said of Blake at the event. “Everything she touches, she makes better. I think we’re all here because of her, so I couldn’t be more grateful to have that opportunity.”
During the same event, Lively disclosed the name of a secret contributor of the movie which is none other than her husband Ryan Reynolds.
Lively, who shared four kids with the Deadpool star, revealed, “The iconic rooftop scene, my husband actually wrote it. Nobody knows that.”
It Ends With Us will storm into the theatres this Friday, Aug. 9.
