Stree 2 is finally at the drop of a hat! The Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao starrer popular horror-comedy is back with its next installment. This time the protector Rajkumar and his gang are all set to fight a new demon Sarkata (the one who is headless). Hence, before you witness the Chanderi gang putting up a hard-heated battle with the new threat, let’s get a quick recap of the first 2018 venture. The 2018 Amar Kaushik directorial earned a whopping 200 crore in the domestic box office making it one of the highest-grossing films of that year.
All about Stree
The first installment revolves around a small-town Chanderi where the horrific legend Stree, a Chudail ( ghostly woman) haunts the place during the time of a special festival. The vengeful spirit abducts men just leaving behind their clothes. The things that make this story unique are not unlike other horror films where the ghosts are just deadly without any emotion, Stree has a bad torturous past where a prostitute wasn’t able to marry the man she loved and got brutally killed by the people of Chanderi. Therefore, all she wants is to get respect and be reunited with her lover.
Amid the abduction of the men, the movie introduces the unnamed mysterious character of Shraddha who comes to make a traditional attire from Vicky (Rajkummar), the renowned tailor of Chanderi. Vicky starts to fall in love with the beautiful mysterious woman. However, things take a drastic turn as one of his friends gets abducted by Stree. As the story progresses Vicky’s gang starts suspecting Shraddha as Stree. Nevertheless, it was proven wrong as she joined their gang to protect the city from the demonic entity.
The acting in this film comes as a show-stealer especially the comic timing of Pankaj Tripathi kept the audience glued to their seats. Despite some forgettable songs and not a powerful second half, the humor makes the movie incredibly enjoyable.

Coming back to theatres after six years this time the people of Chanderi will deal with a new threat, Sarkata. To see how this time Vicky and his gang overcome this danger visit the neatest threats on August 15.
The stellar star cast includes Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee. Moreover, Tamannaah Bhatia has also joined the cast of Street 2.
