Matthew Perry Investigation: The Late Actor’s Personal Assistant Arrested For Overdose-Related Crimes

After nearly one year of F.R.I.E.N.D’s star Matthew Perry’s death, the investigation has taken a new turn. Authorities have found out during the investigation that the actor’s personal assistant Kenneth Iwamasa allegedly played a part in his death. In August. 15, the Department of Justice announced the names of the five accusers which include Dr. Salvador Plascencia and Jasveen Sangha who was referred to as “The Ketamine Queen”, the renowned dealer of ketamine. At the time of his death, Matthew was under the influence of ketamine which let him drown in his pool. Let’s dig into all the details of this segment.

The details of the persecutors of Matthew Perry’s death 

Kenneth Iwamasa, the personal assistant of the late, is found guilty for injecting the actor with multiple doses of ketamine which is a controlled substance known for its harsh effects. Iwamasa has also admitted to the allegations and was charged with conspiracy to distribute the substance.

Apart from the 59-year-old four other people were charged with Perry’s death. Here are the ones notable among them.

Jasveen Sangha who authorities call “The Ketamine Queen” is charged with allegations of conspiracy to distribute ketamine. The accuser intends to distribute methamphetamine in one count of ketamine and five counts of distribution of ketamine. 

The other prosecutor, Dr. Salvador Plasencia, was charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine and seven counts of distribution of the substance, and also for altering and falsifying documents related to the federal investigation charged with two counts. 

Moreover, Erik Fleming was also found guilty of distributing the ketamine that killed the actor. Additionally, Dr. Mark Chavez admitted in a plea agreement to selling ketamine. 

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Anne Milgram also shared in a statement, “We allege each of the defendants played a key role in his death by falsely prescribing, selling, or injecting the ketamine that caused Matthew Perry’s tragic death. Matthew Perry’s journey began with unscrupulous doctors who abused their position of trust because they saw him as a payday, to street dealers who gave him ketamine in unmarked vials.”

How did Matthew Perry die? 

On October 28th, NBC News confirmed the news of the actor’s passing from drowning in the pool of his Los Angeles home. Although initially, it looked like a normal accident. However, later the investigation discovered that the actor was under the influence of ketamine during the time of his death.
