Kylie Jenner shared her advice to the soon-mother-to-be on naming their babies. In an open interview with British Vogue, the mother of two recalled the difficult moment of naming her son. She revealed that her 2-year-old son, Aire, has the third name before they eventually stick to Aire. At the time of the birth, Kylie and ex Travis Scott had named their baby boy Wolf Jacques Webster on the suggestion of Julie’s sister, Khloe Kardashian. However, as time passed the beauty mogul realized the name wasn’t meant for her son. Let’s find out what the dilemma is for the reality star.
Kylie Jenner said she initially named her son Knight
The Kylie Cosmetics founder revealed she changed her son’s name multiple times and finally chose Wolf at Khole’s suggestion as she liked the name alteration. However, she soon realized it wasn’t fit for the baby boy.
The 27-year-old who previously opened up about her postpartum depression said how during this period the difficulty of choosing a name made her more restless.
The reality star also has a 6-year-old daughter Stormie with the ‘goosebump’ rapper. She noted, “On the phone with my mom all day hysterically crying, saying, ‘I can’t figure out his name.’ Now my advice to all my friends having children is pick the name before, because when the hormones hit you can’t make decisions. You can’t. When I met him, he was just the most beautiful thing to me and I couldn’t believe just how perfect he was. I felt like such a failure that I couldn’t name him. He deserved so much more than that. It just really triggered me.”
Jenner revealed, “My son’s name was actually Knight for a long time and my daughter, still to this day, is like, ‘Do you remember when Aire’s name was Knight?’’And I’m like … ‘No.’ And she’s like, ‘That was so funny, Mom. I like Knight better.’ And I’m like: ‘You know what, we are not doing this again.’”
For now, Kylie who is now dating actor Timothée Chalamet has gotten rid of the hardships and is more focused on figuring out the important things of her life.
She shared, “I’m going to be 27, and I’m finally feeling like myself again, and [looking back] I think, being pregnant, I wore sweatpants every day, I didn’t have time to figure out even some of the little things in my life, and then postpartum lasted a year.”
