Life & Journey of Madhubanti Bagchi
Born and brought up in Kolkata, West Bengal, Bagchi is an M.Tech graduate from Jadavpur University. Along With her studies, she has been immensely passionate about music since the age of nine.
The singer is also influenced by classical artists like Ustad Bade Gulamani Khan Sahib and Begum Akhtar, along with pop and metal music.
Prior to ‘Stree 2’ Madhubanti has also given her soulful voice with Arijit Singh in the film Love Aaj Kal’s song “Shayad.”
Remaining underrated for a while, the singer finally got the recognition she deserved after “Aaj Ki Raat” went viral. The horror-comedy movie gained widespread recognition from the audience and created history thereafter. This song is also a major factor in its success which makes the audience groovin it’s mesmerizing tune.
The singer is also releasing some acoustic versions of songs featuring her soothing voice on YouTube.

During a recent interview with an online portal, Bagchi shared an update about her work in front. The singer is now working on an upcoming EP featuring Rajasthani songs, apart from that she is also up for numerous collaborations and singing projects that weren’t disclosed.
Talking about her upcoming EP, the singer said in the interview, “The lyricist Avinash Chauhan, from Jodhpur, inspired me. He shared stories and photos of Rajasthan, leading us to incorporate Rajasthani lyrics into my music, creating a vibrant and fun EP.”
Describing her excitement of working in “Aaj Ki Raat” with Sachin-Jigar, she shared, “Aaj Ki Raat late at night. I was initially hesitant but ended up recording a song I felt deeply connected to. The song’s release was exciting and fulfilling.”
