‘Panchayat’ is all set to have a Tamil Remake. The Tamil version of the popular series, titled ‘Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam’, has officially announced its release date. The original show featured on Prime Video has gained immense love from the audience. The cast of the Tamil instalment includes Abishek Kumar, Chetan Kadambi, Devadarshini, Niyathi, Anand Sami, and Paul Raj in significant roles. Things become more complicated as he tries to habitat among the quirky residents. Throughout his journey, the series encountered a series of comedy mishaps filled with the unexpected twist.
On September 6, Prime Video has officially unveiled the release date of the upcoming series which is September 20.
The original Hindi version starring Jeetendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, and Raghubir Yadav has gained immense popularity among the viewers making it one of the most successful web series in the streaming platform. Hence it isn’t hard to say the expectations of the fans are quite high with this upcoming remake.
Director of Content Licensing at Prime Video India Manish Menghani also expressed excitement about taking the series to a new level.

Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam is helmed by prominent director Naga, while Balakumaran Murugesan will take on the writing gig. Meanwhile, The Viral Fever (TVF) will serve as the producer of the upcoming series.
