Catherine, Princess of Wales aka Kate Middleton was spotted making her first public appearance since announcing the end of her chemotherapy sessions. On September 22, the Princess alongside her husband William, Prince of Wales was photographed travelling by car to church nearly two weeks after making the announcement. The photos were first published by The Sun. Earlier this year Middleton first announced the news of her cancer diagnosis after sparkling up immense controversies regarding her disappearance from the limelight.

On June 15, she first made her formal appearance after months of hiatus from royal duties for the Trooping the Colour ceremony in London along with her husband and three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The details of the Prince and Princess’s appearance during the recent outing

As per the picture of The Sun, the 42-year-old wore a brown fedora with feathers leaving her long hair loose as she attended a Sunday service near the royal family’s Balmoral estate at Crathie Kirk in the Scottish village of Crathie.

It isn’t only the Princess who is fighting the deadly disease as William’s father King Charles III also has been diagnosed in February. The King and his wife Queen Camilla were also spotted heading to the same event.

Ahead of the appearance, Kate attended a meeting at Windsor Castle on September 17 about the Early Years campaign. The event was about an early childhood development initiative with which she has been connected for four years.

Nearly six months after announcing her cancer the Princess made her first public appearance back in June for the Trooping the Colour ceremony in London. Next month she also accompanied her and William’s daughter Princess Charlotte, 9 in the men’s singles final at Wimbledon.

Kate Middleton on the end of her chemotherapy

Earlier this month Kate shared that she’s completed her chemotherapy treatment nearly six months after the diagnosis.

The princess said in a video message on September 9, “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”

The mother of three continues,  “Doing what I can to stay cancer-free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” After adding, “I am, however, looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”
