The royal couple who tied the knot in 2018 shares sons Archie Harrison, 5, and Lilibet “Lili” Diana, 3. During a recent appearance at the WellChild Awards in London, the Duke of Sussex revealed the way the two are largely taking after his wife. Prince Harry said Lili have been blessed with their mother’s thick hair
The chief content officer of the outlet wrote of the 40-year-old, “From the moment he arrived in the reception room, he had an infectious energy about him, and there were no airs and graces at all as he chatted animatedly about his own children ahead of the event.”
It continues, “Archie and Lili have been blessed with their mother’s thick hair, he told us, self-effacingly, as he marveled that it won’t be long until Lili can sit on hers.”
Nevertheless,Lili and Archie have also inherited Harry’s self-described “ginger gene” as well which runs in the Duke’s late mom Princess Diana’s family.
He also quipped about the fact on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last year, adding, “I actually really thought in the beginning of my relationship that—should this go the distance and we have kids—there is no way the ginger gene will stand up to my wife’s genes. But I was wrong!”
In fact, the time the family shared Lili’s first photo in 2021, both the princess and her older brother were indeed spotted having amber hair like their father.
As for, how he’s enjoying his fatherhood, he shared in a statement last month on his 40th birthday,
The Prince marvelled, “Becoming a father of two incredibly kind and funny kids has given me a fresh perspective on life. Being a dad is one of life’s greatest joys and has only made me more driven and more committed to making this world a better place.”
He continues the statement, “Whatever the age, my mission is to continue showing up and doing good in the world.”
The Prince and his former actress wife are now enjoying a low-key life with their kids in L.A since stepping down from their royal duties in 2020.
