Halle Bailey seemingly addressed her split with DDG. About two weeks ago DDG announced the couple had split after two years together and welcomed sob Halo. In her recent post, the Little Mermaid star supposedly opened up about the breakup while sharing a glimpse of what she’s been up to. Although she didn’t mention her ex’s name, she still put a break-up Destiny’s Child’s “Survivor.” The couple reportedly has an amicable split despite the actress’ silence on the issue. Let’s check out the complete details of the songstress’s reaction.
Halle Bailey shared a photo with her son adding a break-up anthem
On October 11, the songstress shared photos featuring her workouts with their 9-month-old son Halo. In the photos, the 24-year-old was spotted with her newborn in one enjoying pool time and in another picture drinking what appears to be a glass of white wine in a recording studio which she captioned, “life is beautiful” with adding a pink heart and smiling face with heart emojis.
Interestingly the thing which grabs the attention of the fans is the song she used in the snaps which is Destiny’s Child’s breakup anthem “Survivor.”
The photos included the lyrics which say, “I’m a survivor / I’m not gon’ give up / I’m not gon’ stop / I’m gon’ work harder / I’m a survivor / I’m gonna make it / I will survive / Keep on survivin’.”
Moreover, her sister Chloe Bailey also shows support to her sibling writing in the comments, “i love you.”
Looking back at the announcement DDG whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr first broke down the news via his October 3 Instagram story.
The 26-year-old wrote at that time, “After much reflect and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared.”
The “Moonwalking in Calabasas” rapper also noted he and his ex “remains deep and true” adding they are “still best friends and adore each other.”
He continues, “As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents. We cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared.”
