Ariana Grande is a dangerous woman when it comes to her reputation.
The “We Can’t Be Friends” singer finally broke her silence on the accusations of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. The horror hostess shared an incident with the singer during a Q&A at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, Calif. on October 18 where she revealed once Grande and her family met her backstage for 21 tickets to her show. However, after she got the tickets and made her family members pose with the self-proclaimed Queen of Halloween she backed off rudely while Elvira requested her for a picture.
On October 21 Grande commented on Elvira’s Instagram post sharing her version of the story. Let’s check out what she has revealed about the incident.
Ariana Grande is “disheartened” by Elvira’s comment
The Wicked star noted saying shevwas “so disheartened to see this.”
She also continues, “i actually don’t even remember getting the chance to meet you because i had an anxiety attack and to my memory, left before the rest of my family (this was around 7 years ago and at the time i was really not great with being in public crowds or loud places),”
“But if i’m misremembering this moment, i sincerely apologize for offending you so,” the Grammy winner added. “thank you for being so nice to my mom, she told me how lovely you were (she might have different feelings about that now but i’ll talk to her… clearly, we all have our days!)”
She concluded the comment without holding any grudge by writing, “sending love always. ♡ you’ll always be our queen of halloween!”
Looking at her history, Grande has always been vocal about her mental health especially being having several anxiety throughout her life.
In 2018, during an interview with Vogue UK, she reflected on the issue in depth.
“I’ve always had anxiety,” she told the outlet. “I’ve never really spoken about it because I thought everyone had it, but when I got home from tour it was the most severe I think it’s ever been.”
For now, the songstress is busy promoting her upcoming film Wicked’s first part ahead of its theatrical release on November 22. As for the movie’s part two, it is scheduled to release on Nov. 26, 2025.
