In Short
Sophie Turner is focusing on being optimistic.
A month after the actress finalized her divorce from ex-husband Joe Jonas, she spoke up about how things are difficult for her. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar published October 30 Turner shared an insight to the end of her marriage of four years with the singer. Following her divorce with the ‘Cake by Ocean’ singer with whom she shares daughters Willa, 3, and Delphine, 2, Sophie has now shifted to her native land U.K. Here’s the details the actress has shared in this interview.
Sophie Turner said her divorce from Joe Jonas was really hard
The Game of Thrones star told the outlet how it’s been an extremely difficult period of her life since she and her ex-husband have a beautiful relationship.
“I’m going through a legal process right now where I can’t really say much, but it was incredibly sad,” Sophie shared. “We had a beautiful relationship, and it was hard.”
The actress who now moved back to the U.K, her native land after years living in Los Angeles and Miami with Joe, said of her homecoming, “I’m so happy to be back. It felt as if my life was on pause until I returned to England. I just never really feel like myself when I’m not in London, with my friends and family.”
“I was away for so long—six years—and it was when my friends were getting engaged, and when I got pregnant,” she added. “I went for dinner with someone the other day, and she said, ‘I never got to touch your belly.’ We didn’t have those key experiences with each other.”
Moreover, the mother-of-two who is now dating real estate developer Peregrine Pearson said being away from her daughter when they’re with their dad according to their custody agreement, is “agony.”
“Before I had kids, I was very depressed and anxious, and I would isolate [myself] a lot,” the 28-year-old explained. “Now, I think I live my life for them. I want them to see me having a social life and enjoying work and thriving in my career and relationships. I want them to see a hard-working mum.”
After a heated custody battle Sophie and Joe seem to be on amicable terms and having a healthy co-parenting relationship for their daughters. The former couple parted ways in September of 2023 after the Jonas Brothers member filed for a divorce which was finalized last month.
