During the November 12 episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert John Krasinski was declared as People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2024. At his recent appearance on the show Krasinski displayed his picture in the magazine’s front.
Moreover, he also shared how his wife actress Emily Blunt with whom she shares daughters Hazel, 10, and Violet, 8 is “very excited” and will use his magazine cover as wallpaper in their Brooklyn home.

John Krasinski reacted on being the sexiest man alive
The host of the show Stephen Colbert quipped noting Krasinski’s got this honor of kindness and thoughtfulness, to which the actor joked, “I think it’s that—and the biceps.”
As for the actor’s reaction to this honor, he added, “Just immediate blackout, actually. Zero thoughts,” the 45-year-old told. “Other than maybe I’m being punked. That’s not how I wake up, thinking, ‘Is this the day that I’ll be asked to be Sexiest Man Alive?’ And yet it was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me.”
He also joked about the claim that his wife Emily would hang out in their Brooklyn home, saying, “Do we have that on camera? Because that’s like a binding contract, I think, My children will love that, it won’t be weird at all.”
The Jack Ryan star added of his wife with whom he’s been married for 14 years, “There was a lot of joy involved in me telling her.”
“It’s that beautiful thing where when you’re married to someone, you’re constantly learning and changing and evolving,” he said of their long happy wedlock. “And I’m so lucky to go through all that with her.”
If you’re thinking this new title will give some benefits, it’s wrong as he joked, “It’s going to make me do more household chores, After this comes out, she’ll be like, ‘All right, that means you’re going to really earn it here at home.’”
For the record the actor-director successed Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey, who like him couldn’t believe getting the title at that time.
The 2023 winner said to the magazine at that time, “I was completely shocked. I started laughing, like, this is a joke, right? I’ve always been a bridesmaid!”
