Are we the masters of our own deeds? Is everything real? Everything that we go through each day and take different actions whilst dealing with new problems. These different actions result in different consequences that require another set of actions and choices that are needed to be made.
And suddenly, your life is full of choices and actions that you are responsible for. Even if we try hard enough to blame it on someone else, but ultimately it is our deeds that bring in consequences.
The old human tendency to blame anyone/ anything else on the experience of a failure is also not true. When your parents tell you that “God must have not wanted this for you and that’s why he didn’t make you do it” that is also a lie.
A huge fat lie that we tell ourselves every day to go on with life. To lessen the guilt and regret that we might experience if we encounter our actions and the repercussions of those actions.
Even if we might believe that God is responsible for our actions, which is absurd obviously. Then also, it true that God gives us a choice between 2 or 3 or sometimes more possibilities of any problem. But it is we who make a choice and go on to live with it.
Take for example you forgot to get up early and go to school because your parents were in a fight with you and didn’t wake you up. Now your general tendency would be, “My parents didn’t wake me up that’s why I was late.” But the true being at fault here is you. It has always been you.
All those addictions and bad habits are not because someone else made you do it. It is because you were so weak that you didn’t fight back for your choice.
You go on to live in a lie every day, developing more and more bad habits each day until one day you blame every single thing for your downfall except yourself, who is truly responsible for it.
