On Tuesday, the Television Academy announced this year’s Primetime Emmy nominations. The successful show “Succession” leads the number of nominations with 25 nods, including outstanding drama. “Ted Lasso” and “The White Lotus” followed with 20 nominations each. The 74th Emmy Awards will be held on 12th September 2022.
“Succession” stars Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong are nominated for outstanding lead actor in a drama series. Sarah Snook from “Succession” also received a nomination for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series. “Ted Lasso” star Jason Sudeikis also earned an outstanding lead actor in a comedy series nomination. In addition, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, and Hannah Waddingham also received individual nominations in the supporting actor categories.
“Ted Lasso” and “The White Lotus” received 20 nominations each.
“The White Lotus” is a favorite in the limited series category. In the supporting actor categories, it received a total of eight nominations. In addition, shows “Only Murders In the Building” and “Hacks” received 17 nominations each.

Outstanding actress in a drama series: Jodie Comer, Killing Eve; Laura Linney, Ozark; Melanie Lynskey, Yellowjackets; Sandra Oh, Killing Eve; Reese Witherspoon, The Morning Show and Zendaya, Euphoria.
Outstanding actor in a comedy series: Donald Glover, Atlanta; Bill Hader, Barry; Bill Hader, Barry; Nicholas Holt, The Great; Jason Sudeikis, Ted Lasso; Steve Martin, Only Murders in the Building and Martin Short, Only Murders in the Building.
Outstanding actress in a comedy series: Rachel Brosnahan, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel; Quinta Brunson, Abbott Elementary; Kaley Cuoco, The Flight Attendant; Elle Fanning, The Great; Issa Rae, Insecure and Jean Smart, Hacks.
