American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift was named the Songwriter-Artist of the Decade by the ( NSAI ) Nashville Songwriters Association International. The ‘Bad Blood’ singer gave a long speech at the event held at the historic Ryman Auditorium. Swift has a record to be the most Grammy-winning artist and with this honour, she added a new feather to her big crown. Let’s see what the singer said about her win!
Swift gave a speech on her journey at the NSAI 2022
The 32-year-old singer was looking stunning on the red carpet Of the 5th NSAI in a black cocktail dress. The dress was showing a high turtleneck and sexy side cut-out, styled with sparkly shoes, Rahaminov Diamonds drop earrings and a bold red lip. Moreover, the ‘Blank Space’ singer recalls her journey as a songwriter in her speech.
“Twenty years ago I wrote my first song. I used to dream about one day getting to bounce around the different musical worlds of my various sonic influences, and change up the production of my albums. I hoped that one day, the blending of genres wouldn’t be such a big deal. There’s so much discussion about genre and it always usually leads back to a conversation about melody and production. But that leaves out possibly my favourite part of songwriting: lyricism.”- she said.
The singer previously honoured in 2015 and 2017 for “10 Songs I Wish I’d Written” awards for “Better Mand “Shake It Off” and “Lover”. Swift’s NSAI win comes after her win at the MTV Video Music Awards 2022.
