Britain’s new monarch King Charles III is ready to be crowned officially as the king. On October 11, Buckingham palace released the details about the new monarch’s coronation. Details about King Charles III’s coronation
King Charles III then Prince of Wales officially became the new monarch of Britain after his mother Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 96 on September 8 of this year. After 70 years he will ascend the throne. The Archbishop of Canterbury will organize the coronation ceremony. The king will crown alongside his wife the new Queen consort Camilla.
The ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey in the presence of the royal family and church. As per the reports of British media, the guest list is around 2,000 to 8,000. The connotation would not be too long as Charls’ mother Queen Elizabeth.
Previously in his speech as a new sovereign, His majesty honored his late mother the Queen. As the 73-year-old king said,” Throughout her life, Her Majesty The Queen—my beloved Mother—was an inspiration and example to me and to all my family, and we owe her the most heartfelt debt any family can owe to their mother; for her love, affection, guidance, understanding, and example..” In this speech, he also addresses his son Prince William and daughter-in-law Catherine the new Prince and Princess of Wales.
Moreover, he also sent good wishes to another son Prince Harry and his wife Meghan. As the former Prince of Wales said,” I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas.”
The coronation ceremony is also organized on the same date as the birthday of Harry and Meghan’s son Archie.
