HBO confirmed the leaking of House of The Dragon’s season finale and the most anticipated episode 10. The episode is supposed to premiere on Sunday 23st October at 9pm. However, it leaked in 21nd of October, two day ahead of its release. On 21st October the famous American broadcast channel talked about the “unlawful action.” Let’s find out what their point is.
HBO is very ‘disappointed’ for this ‘Unlawful action’
House of The Dragon is the prequel of the famous HBO series Game of Thrones. The series has become one of the most popular series of all time and broke several viewership records. A spokesperson of the broadcast network gave a statement to Variety on October 21. “It appears to have originated from a distribution partner in the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East or Africa) region. HBO is aggressively monitoring and pulling these copies from the Internet.”they said.
Furthermore the statement follows,”We’re disappointed that this unlawful action has disrupted the viewing experience for loyal fans of the show,” the statement continued.
“who will get to see a pristine version of the episode when it premieres Sunday on HBO and HBO Max, where it will stream exclusively in 4K.”
However, it isn’t the first time, previously, the fourth episode of Game of Thrones was also get leaked one day before its release. They accused Star India, one of their distribution partners. Later on, the same month the sixth episode also released as well. This time HBO Spain, the international version of the cable network, accidentally posted the episode ahead of its release.
This is indeed an unlawful action. However, HBO is now actively trying to delete all the copies from the internet. Needless to say, This is indeed worth waiting for.
