Angel and Nick Carter are coming together with Lance Bass in a Charity Concert honoring their late brother Aaron Carter. On what would’ve been the late singer’s 35 birthday twin sister Angel Carter will host a charity concert called ‘ Songs for Tomorrow’.
As per the event’s official ticket-selling website, the concert will also have a performance by Nick Carter and Lance Bass to honor Aaron.
Angel Carter noted how she’s turning her grief into action following Aaron Carter’s death
Angel Carter also paid tribute to her late sister Leslie, who died of an overdose at the age of 25 in 2012.
Angel wrote in her Dec 7 Insta post, ” When we lost Leslie, I was blindsided and shocked,” she also thanked everyone with birthday wishes and continued, “With Aaron, however, we had tried everything. In fact, I spoke with him two days before he passed, and I begged, once again, for him to let us help. I did not know that would be the last time that I would ever hear his voice. And now, I sit here on our birthday, trying to navigate this unimaginable loss because of untreated mental illness and the addiction that it led to.”
The 34-year-old singer also wrote how she turned her grief of losing her brother Aaron Carter into action following the quote,” Aaron dying was the worst day of my life.”
She continued. “I have loved him since we were born… it feels like a piece of my soul is gone. And yet, despite all this pain, his passing has lit a fire within me. I feel a calling and responsibility to help other families and continue the conversation to further break the stigmas that surround mental illness.”
About the charity concert Angle explained 100% of the January concert’s ticket sales will benefit the organization, On Our Sleeves.
Angel and Nick also previously created a donation fund in their late brother’s name for providing free necessary resources for breaking child mental health stigmas to Americans for the benefit of the national movement.
