Actress Emily Blunt is clearing the air on her recent comment about Tom Cruise. The actress said in her recent interview that Cruise told her to “stop being such ap—y.” However, she said it in a hilarious sense but the netizens aren’t taking it well. Some bashed the actor for being disrespectful towards a woman. Blunt clarified that her story was “taken literally and absurdly out of context”.

The 39-year-old actress co-starred with the ‘Top Gun’ alum in the 2014 film Edge of Tomorrow. Where Cruse made this comment on Blunt. On December 12, in the episode of the Smartless podcast, the actress became nostalgic about working with the star where she shared this.
Cruise told her to “stop being such a p—y” and the actress said this in a joking way. However, fans didn’t take it well. After the backlash against Cruise, the ‘Devils Wear Prada star finally cleared up some air. On December 12, while talking with E-news, she said, “It’s ludicrous that it’s being spun as something that offended me. It didn’t. I shared the story as lightheartedly as it was meant by Tom.”
The actress later praised her co-star. “I absolutely adore Tom, he’s a dear friend and he was a total gem to me.t was said as a joke to make me laugh, which it did in a big way. And it’s still something we laugh about to this day.”
Previously, in an episode of the podcast, the Smartles, the actress also shared how Cruise cheered her up. “I was like, ‘Tom, I’m not sure how I’m going to get through this shoot,’ and just started to cry, I’m feeling a bit panicky about the whole shoot,’ and he stared at me for a long time, not knowing what to do, and he goes, ‘Come on, stop being such a p—y, OK? I did laugh, and then we got through it.'”-she said.
