American host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres honors Stephen “tWitch” Boss after his tragic passing on December 14 at the age of 40. Stephen was the former DJ at her Famous ‘Ellen Show.’ The tragic news was confirmed by the DJ’s wife Allison Holker on December 14 on E-news. After the break, DeGeneres shared an emotional statement after the passing of her long friend.
Ellen DeGeneres gives condolences to “tWitch”s family
The 64-year-old host shared a heartbroken statement after hearing the news. “I’m heartbroken. tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart,I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children – Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.”- DeGeneres said in her statement. Moreover, she shared an emotional post on Instagram for her late friend. She shared a beautiful picture of them embracing each other.
Stephen joined ‘Ellen Show’ in 2014. Further on, he became executive producer of the daytime talk show from 2020 to its end in 2022. He always filled in for Ellen as a host.
In May of this year, Ellen also gave him a special tribute in the show. “Over a decade ago, I met someone who changed my life, and our show, I’m talking about you, tWitch.”- she said in one of the finale episodes.
She continues, “I love you so much and it’s been an emotional week. You always make me smile and laugh. We put together a little something together just to say how much we all love you here.”
The comedian, later on, played a video of their special moments and said,”Whenever he’s not here—for whatever reason—it’s just different. I mean, I count on him to look over at and make silly jokes. He’s my pal. He’s my sidekick. We have this connection, just looking over and he makes me laugh. He really, really makes me laugh.I love you, tWitch. We tell each other that every day when we say goodbye after the show. We both say, ‘Love you.’ He says, ‘Love you much,’ and I say, ‘Love you.’ So, he’s never gonna be out of my life. He’s always gonna be a part of my life.”- she said in the clips.
Indeed, it’s a really difficult moment for his family and friends.
