Football Legend Pelé passed away at 82

The football world bid its farewell to the King of Football. Football Legend Pelé took his last breath at 82. On December 29, his daughter Kely Nascimento confirmed the news via Instagram. She wrote along with hands surrounding the athlete, “Everything we are is because of you, We love you infinitely. Rest in peace.” As soon as the news broke on the internet, sports celebrities from all around the world paid tribute to the ‘Football God’. the player was suffering from colon cancer and it reportedly gets worsened last year. Although he was stable for a few days he can’t win the match to the death.

Football Stars Neymar Jr, Messi, and Kylian Mbappé pay tribute to Pelé

The Brazilian footballer during his career brings home many honors for his country including FIFA World Cup in the years 1958, 1962, and 1970. His health wasn’t going well for days many sports stars and his fans prayed for his recovery, however, destiny has planned something else. Football stars Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymer Jr, Messi, and Kylian Mbappé give their tribute to the late footballer. Messi wrote on Instagram, “Rest in peace, @pele.”

While Ronaldo wrote, “My deep condolences to all of Brazil, and in particular to the family of Edson Arantes do Nascimento. A mere “goodbye” to the eternal King Pelé will never be enough to express the pain that the entire football world is currently embracing. An inspiration to so many millions, a reference yesterday, today, and forever. The love you always showed me was reciprocated in every moment we shared even from distance. He will never be forgotten and his memory will live forever in each and every one of us football lovers. Rest in peace King Pelé”.

Moreover, Kylian Mbappé wrote, “The king of football has left us but his legacy will never be forgotten,” alongside a snap of the two, adding, “RIP KING.”

Brazilian footballer Neymer Jr also penned a heartwarming note for his senior,” Before Pelé, 10 was just a number. I’ve read this phrase somewhere, at some point in my life. But this sentence, beautiful, is incomplete. I would say before Pelé football was just a sport. Pelé has changed it all. He turned football into art, into entertainment He gave voice to the poor, to the blacks, and especially: He gave visibility to Brazil. Soccer and Brazil have raised their status thanks to the King! He’s gone but his magic remains. Pelé is FOREVER!!”

The Brazilian football team previously honored him at the 2022 Qatar Worldcup.
