After 23 years of the release of ‘Fight Club’ singer, Courtney Love claimed that the film’s actor Brad Pitt ‘pushed too far’ to get her fired from a role in the film. Courtney Love has alleged that the role of Marla Singer—ultimately played by Helena Bonham Carter—in the Ocasar nominated film was hers. Until she makes the discussion repudiate the rights of a movie to Brad Pitt and director Gus Van Sant about her late husband Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.
The Hola singer wrote on a 30 Dec Insta post,” Brad pushed me a bridge too far. Brad & Gus Van Sant called me from lunch and tried to blackmail me over my role, for the rights to a film about Kurt. I lost my s–t on them, and by 7 pm I was fired from Fight Club.”
Conforming every word ‘ factual’, the Trapped actress noted that she never thought of telling this story. In a WTF with Marc Maron podcast on Dec 26, she shared the story and now doubling down.
Courtney also wrote in the Insta story how Brad never stops for seeking rights until Kurt’s death in 1994. Courtney wrote, “I am not here 22 years later b–ching about losing a part playing someone’s side piece in a movie. The point is Brad kept on stalking me about Kurt.”
The Epic singer also claim how the pitch didn’t go as he thought about the Oscar winner claiming, “It’s not just the Zoom I had with Brad in 2020 where I said no to @planbfilms & Brad producing it,” she continued, “It’s that I said NO on the Zoom and that was enough, and I was not heard. I was ignored.”
Despite the accusation, some scores say that the role was never hers.
