Ashton Kutcher is looking back to the dark chapter of his life. On January 31, in an interview with Esquire, the actor opened up about ex-wife Demi Moore’s miscarriage and their failed marriage. The actor was married to Moore from 2005 to 2013. Although their marriage didn’t last he was still on good terms with Demo’s daughters once he was stepfather to them.
Ashton Kutcher said losing a kid is very painful
On January 31, in an interview with Esquire, That ’70s Show alum recalled the first time losing a child. He said, “Losing a kid that you think you’re going to have, and that close to thinking you’re going to have a kid, is really, really painful. Everyone deals with that in different ways.”
Kutcher was the stepfather of Moore’s daughters Rumer, 34, Scout, 31, and Tallulah, 28 at that time. The 44-year-old was revealed to be still on good terms with her former stepdaughters. The Just Married actor continued, “I was 26, bearing the responsibility of an 8-year-old, a 10-year-old, and a 12-year-old. That’s how some teen parents must experience their twenties.”
However, Ashton’s wish to become a father was fulfilled after his marriage to actress Mila Kunis. The happily married couple welcomed their first kid daughter Wyatt 2014 and their second son Dimitri in 2016.
Kutcher continues, “I love kids. I wouldn’t have gotten married to a woman that had three kids if I didn’t love kids. The idea of having another kid would have been incredible.”
Although he has been married to Kunis for more than eight years his first failed marriage made him feel like a failure. He said, “Nothing makes you feel like a failure like divorce. Divorce feels like a wholesale f–king failure. You failed at marriage.”
After a painful path in life, Ashton is finally enjoying a loveable marriage with two beautiful children.
