On 24th February, the woman filed a lawsuit demanding $500,000, and also wants the court to triple the damages to $1.5 million.

Lady Gaga is accused of posting the allegedly misleading reward

Jennifer McBride accused the 36-year-old singer of posting the allegedly misleading reward. In 2021 February after the abduction of her dogs Gaga announced a half-million-dollar reward through her social media accounts and news outlets. Meanwhile, talking about the incident the pop star’s dogs were on a walk with the dog walker Ryan Fischer. Then James Howard Jackson, 20, and two others roamed through West Hollywood, California, and the San Fernando Valley. Their intention of stealing breeds of dogs for profit. The group, therefore, kidnapped two of the French bulldogs and shot Fischer in the chest.

Then the singer announced a reward offer for finding her dogs Koji and Gustav. However, according to the suit she isn’t intended to pay the “no questions asked” reward money. Instead, the singer questioned McBride’s intention to return the dogs as a result she went through pain and suffering, mental anguish, and loss of enjoyment of life.

She reportedly bought the dogs at LAPD Olympic Station. The “Bloody Mary” singer also responded to the email she sent her. The singer asked her to give them back and she will pay her the money. However, she was accused to have a connection with the kidnapping. Her attorney said in a statement, “This case is quite simple. Lady Gaga made a reward offer to induce performance. She desperately wanted her dogs returned and my client took action to fulfill Lady Gaga’s wish. My client had absolutely no involvement in the theft of the dogs. She loves dogs and was glad to participate in their safe return. She is legally entitled to and deserves the reward.”
