Courteney Cox talked about Prince Harry’s story of doing mushrooms at her house. On Monday the actress responded to the claim that the royal once partied at her house while visiting and took mushrooms. The Duke of Sussex said it in his memoir, Spare. In her recent interview with Variety, the Friends star revealed what actually happened at her house.
Courteney Cox revealed Prince Harry stayed for a couple of days
In a recent interview with Variety, the 58-year-old talked about this incident. She said, “He did stay here for a couple of days, probably two or three. He’s a really nice person.”
However, the Friends alum said she hasn’t read Harry’s memoir, Spare, yet. The Scream star said, “I haven’t read the book. I do want to hear it because I’ve heard it’s really entertaining. But yes, it’s gotten back to me about it. I’m not saying there were mushrooms! I definitely wasn’t passing them out.”
The actress revealed she and the Duke attended Portia de Rossi’s 50th birthday/vow renewal with Ellen DeGeneres. However, they didn’t speak.
Harry’s memoir Spare released in January where Harry recalls a time prior to marrying his wife, Meghan Markle. The Prince revealed to stay with a friend at Cox’s place. He revealed to spot “a huge box of black diamond mushroom chocolates” which was “for everybody” at her apparent house party. The royal wrote, “My mate and I grabbed several, gobbled them, washed them down with tequila.” He also took the mushrooms and wrote, “I stepped on the pedal and the head opened its mouth. A huge open grin. I laughed.”
The royal also revealed to have a crush on the actress. As he wrote, “I was still confused because she was Monica, and I was a Chandler. I wondered if I’d ever work up the courage to tell her. Was there enough tequila in California to get me that brave?”
