A Big News for the Squid Game fans! The second season of this all set to release this November. On a June 17 video at its global fan event Tudum 2023 Netflix gave a sneak peek at the Korean drama’s next chapter Squid Game: The Challenge. Let’s found some more facts about the cast and the release date.
Netflix Shared Squid Game Season 2 will come this November
On the June 17, in a 30-second video Netflix wrote, “This November. the world’s most notorious game becomes reality.” However, no release date has been confirmed yet.
So before digging into the new season, let’s give you the recap. In the previous season the financially affected players enrolled in the game. The rules of the game was if they won they would come a step closer to the giant cash prize. And if they lose they will lose their life too.
At the end of the season player number 456 Seong Gi-hun won the competition and left alive. However, he decided to put an end to the cruel game and find out the truth about its origin.
The cast of the series
Like season one we will see some similar faces in this season as well. Actor Lee Jung-jae will hopefully play the role of player number 456 aka Seong Gi-hun. Meanwhile, Lee Byung-hun and Wi Ha-jun will hopefully again take the role of Front Man and detective Hwang Jun-ho.
Moreover, the streaming service announced Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon and Yang Dong-geun are joining the cast of season 2.
The season one gained a lot of international accolades like Golden Globes, Emmy and Screen Actor Guild award. It will be really interesting to see if season 2 can show the same spark as well.
