The Queen of Pop is not doing well. Madonna was rushed to hospital on June 24 after suffering a serious bacterial infection. Her manager Guy Oseary shared the devastating news on Instagram with a post. The singer has previously undergone surgery in 2020 for her injuries during her 2019 Madame X tour.
The health of Madonna is improving
Oseary shared in her post that the ‘Vogue’ singer is suffering from a serious bacterial infection and is in ICU right now. Moreover, he gave her health updates writing, “Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.”
The hospitalization comes after a month after the 64-year-old’s The Celebration Tour was scheduled on July 15th. It will take place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. However, it seems to be postponed due to her health condition.
“At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour,” Oseary said of the tour. “We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”
Previously, the 64-year-old had undergone surgery in 2020 for her injuries during her 2019 Madame X tour. This led to the cancellation of her shows in North America and one in Portugal.
Moreover, a year later as per Extra, she shared in her 2021 Madame X Presents: Madame Xtra Q&A special, “During my [2019 Madame X] tour—I don’t know if you’ve noticed it, but I’m limping a lot—I was in more pain that I’ve ever been in in my life. I’m a bionic woman—I had hip replacement surgery.”
However, she didn’t let it break her spirit as she said, “So, how do I stay in shape? It’s all in your head…It’s called will, it’s called no one’s gonna stop me, and how I stay in shape is no one’s gonna stop me. And how I stay in shape is I don’t believe in limitations.”
Hope she will get well soon!
