Bachelor alum Ashley Iaconetti is candid about having a gender disappointment after giving birth to a son Dawson. The actress who welcomed her son in January 2022 with her husband Jared Haibon in her recent appearance on the Aug. 18 episode of her podcast Ben And Ashley I Almost Famous unveiled a lot of facts.
Ashley Iaconetti said she started planning for a second child
The reality star said in the podcast, “I had such gender disappointment with Dawson.”
However, his disappointment vanished afterwards having her son. Moreover, the couple even started planning for a second baby and also they want the child to be a boy as well.
“I’d be happy if we had a boy, too,” she revealed, “because then I’d want them to have that brother bond.”
This isn’t the first time Iaconetti got candid about motherhood. In March of this year, she wrote on Instagram, “I’m not breastfeeding. I know myself well enough to know that I’m a better mom and therefore Dawson is a happier baby because of this decision.
Moreover, she revealed after a hard pregnancy she is moving back to normal life. She noted, “My body needed a break. It didn’t need to learn to do something new again. Growing a human was enough for this year.”
Simultaneously, in a June 15 Instagram post she wrote, “While our first year or so as parents has us often feeling like our blood pressure is off the charts. it has also expanded our love and gratefulness for each other. It has taught us the true meaning of partnership. We share tasks and divide and somehow manage to conquer…with the help from our ‘village.'”
Iaconetti continued, “From a rough pregnancy, opening a new, demanding business, buying the wrong house, and a shared feeding journey- Jared and I advocate for each others’ happiness and support each other all the way through.”
