Kristen Bell and her husband Dax Shepard addressed the ‘outrage’ over the airport story. Bell recently appeared in Shepard’s popular podcast, Armchair Expert, where the e couple addressed the online fallout that occurred after they shared about being stranded at an airport. Talking about the incident the couple posted a video after their Instagram story at the Boston Logan airport after their flight got delayed. Moreover, the couple addressed the accusations of lying about the incidents.
Dax Shepard said he just thought the incident was novel and funny
Shepard said of the incident, “The thing I got worried about when it got on the news is like, I would hate for people to think that we were upset or complaining about the experience..I just thought it was novel and funny.”
For him, the incidents were like “camping,” and also “fun.”
However, he agreed to get furious after knowing that TSA might ask the passengers to leave the airport around 1 a.m. “I thought that was insane, yes,” Dax said.
Later on, he said of the backlash that he and Bell, who shares daughters Lincoln, 10, and Delta, 8 faced after sharing the video, “I was really confused when I saw these really angry comments on my post. I can’t figure out what makes someone mad about that story.”
Kristen added, “You’re treating everyone like they have the emotional capacity you have. A lot of people just get on the internet and google angry, mad stuff. So it was just anything. It was like, ‘You’re not being kicked out!’ ‘Of course there were hotels.’ ‘I can’t believe you spent $600 on pillows.'”
Dax also said, “My favorite one was, ‘No hotel up to your standards.’ I was just like, ‘Yet we’re sleeping on the floor.'”
