Humans are the most advanced creatures living on this planet. They are revolutionizing so fast that they are leaving behind nothing but suffering for other species. With high pollution, deforestation, animal slaughter, global warming rates, earth is becoming very very ill.
The state of havoc caused by us humans couldn’t be measured in simplicity. But here is a list of things where we, humans went extremely wrong and destroyed this planet.
Global Warming Causes an increase in the overall temperature of the planet.
Burning fossil fuels, Deforestation and Industrialization along with Farming and air pollution, all contribute to increase in the global temperature every day. The results of this rise in temperature are gigantic. All the glaciers in the polar regions are dissolving into water. While along bringing new diseases into existence as the ice melts.
Global warming is caused by the following activities. These activities contribute to deteriorate the health of the earth individually as well. Let’s see:
Deforestation:
- Forests are immensely important in maintaining the gaseous balance upon this earth. They bring in soil health along with carrying out several cycles like carbon cycle, sodium cycle, potassium cycle, nitrogen cycle, oxygen recycling, precipitation cycle, etc.
- We cut down 10 million forests globally every year. It must be clear that we have deforested enough forests to throw away the healthy state of life on earth. Just take a moment and reflect on how planting tress could help make the situation a little bit better for humans.
- Forests are crucial for survival of man and other species, from the air we breathe to the wood we use. Simultaneously providing habitats for animals and livelihoods for humans. They also bring in watershed protection, prevent soil erosion and mitigate climate change.
Burning Fossil Fuels:
- Burning of fossil fuels on a daily bases to account for humanly activities like transportation, energy generation, industrial work, could be very suffocating for our planet. These release a large amount of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
- These greenhouse gases include: Carbon Dioxide, Methane, Nitrous oxide, CFC’s, etc. Greenhouse gases absorb the heat from sun and trap it to increase the global temperature. Other gases like Carbon monoxide, Sulphur dioxide, Nitrogen and unburnt carbon particles could be extremely lethal for human survival as well as other species.
Industrialization:
- Although industries have worked for the betterment of human living, there is more harm they are doing than good. Contributing to low wage working conditions and child labor for humans themselves. It also impacts on enhancing the global temperature by releasing untreated gases and wastes products into the atmosphere and lithosphere.
- These untreated chemicals join water bodies where, they imply in scorching the water life, while along making them unfit for human consumption. Remaining gases join the air, where they increase the green house effect.
Pollution:
- Pollution is dumping unwanted gases, solid and liquid wastes, noise, etc. in the biosphere. It is done by humans in order to disbalance the earth. All the recreational activities, tourism, industrialization, or just supporting human survival in general is a major, major cause for pollution.
Human beings have massively affected the survival of other species on this earth.
From zoo keeping and preserving species for recreational activities to skinning alive dogs, cows and other animals to generate food, humans have made it known, that they are the most dangerous creatures on this planet.
Many animals are killed to show-off human pride and in order to make something from their body parts for human consumption and devotion. Animals are slaughtered by human beings for generating food resources. We are also, in fact responsible for causing changes in the environment that hurt animals and plant species. Our selfish activities have destroyed the natural habitats for other organisms.
Despite this, pollution, global warming, industrialization, civilization, and human survival has lead to suffocation of this planet, along with all the other species that once resided and are still residing on the planet.
Other human activities that aid in environmental degradation.
From terrible farming practices, to washing away surfactants into the rivers, along with being selfish and greedy, humans are becoming a huge threat for the planet. War and competition between countries have made the situation even more grave. People are generating different biohazard weapons, nuclear weapons and other dangerous creations in order to overthrow the opposition countries.
In conclusion, Humans have made it difficult for not only other species but for themselves to survive anymore on this planet. Today’s situation is only and only due to human greed and selfishness and just ignorance in general.
