Tony Kakkar who has become one of the prevalent pop stars for his unique yet catchy hook and magnetic beats recalled the moment when Arijit Singh called him but he wasn’t able to pick it up. As he revealed that there was a phase where he didn’t feel like making songs and that he just went into his own shell even rejecting this music sensation. In a recent interview with Mirchi Plus the singer opened up about the down phase of his life when he made some immense wrong professional decisions. Let’s delve into the complete details of this story.
Tony Kakkar didn’t receive Ariji Singh’s song
As some fans are requesting the collaboration of these two singers Tony recalled the moment when it was so close to becoming true, however, it didn’t happen.
He said, “I know it would sound weird to many but sometimes Arijit Singh is busy, sometimes I am. Arijit Bhai jo hain vo kabhi apne space mein pahauch jaate hain jahan 6 mahina you can’t reach him and kabhi 6 mahina main apne zone mein pahauch jaata hu aisa jaha main thoa, you know. (Arijit brother sometimes goes into a space where he is unreachable for 6 months and then sometimes I am into that zone).”
The “Coca Cola” singer also explained, “Kuch time pehele aisa ham ek gaana karne vale the aur ek label se mujhe phone aaya tha and Arijit Bhai ka bhi phone aaya tha ke Tony ye gaana do, ham Orion music pe karna chahte hain gaana. Maine kabhi khulke iski baat ki nahi hai kyuki vo hua nahi iske liye kyuki maine, pata nahi, I mishandled it and unn dino main gaana banana ke mood mein nahi tha and maine try bhi ki toh mujhe lage nahi ki mujhe bhejne chahiye phir unke label se kayi baar phone bhi aaya ke bhai gaana bhejne vale the, kya hua, timing ka thoda issue hua. (It was some time back when me and Arijit Singh were about to collaborate, and I got a call from a label and from Arijit Singh too saying that Tony we want to do a song on an Orion music so if you could. I never talked about it openly because it did not happen, but I think I mishandled it. I don’t know what happened, I think I was not in the zone to create music or whatever I tried making, I didn’t feel like sending because I was not satisfied with it. I think timing was an issue).”
He continues, “I consider Arijit Singh my God, you imagine I couldn’t even send a song when he called me, so this proves that I keep my life as my priority”.
