Actor Kunal Kemmu who is all set to star in the upcoming web series ‘Gulkanda Tales’ shared some interesting facts about the web series. After bagging the great success of his directorial debut ‘Madgaon Express’, the actor-turned-filmmaker is making his next project a memorable one. Set in the fictional land of Gulkanda, the story is incredibly fascinating and attractive to the audience. Opening up about ‘Gulkanda Tales’ in a recent ‘MensXP’ podcast, the actress addressed a lot of facts about his role in the upcoming thriller. Kunal Kemmu said ‘Gulkanda Tales’ is going to be something very special
The actor said in the podcast, “It’s coming out this year on Prime Video and has been made by the ‘Tumbbad’ director Rahi Anil Barve, and produced by Raj & DK. It’s a very interesting story and I have personally never seen something like this in Indian cinema or television. My look in ‘Gulkanda Tales’ is very different, depicting a completely different world. The tagline says it all — it’s kind of epic; so it is kind of epic in a lot of ways. It’s going to be something very special and I’m very excited to see it as well.”
Apart from Kemmu popular actors like Pankaj Tripathi and Patralekha in key roles in the Prime series. Meanwhile, Mitesh Shah, Raj DK, and Rahi Anil Barve will serve as the series’ writer.
Patralekha who has been in the entertainment industry for 10 years expressed her gratitude on starring in the series, “I am glad with OTT there’s varied content out there and diverse roles for actors and technicians. I remember, when I would meet directors, they would tell me to try getting work on OTT. It was (filmmakers) Raj and DK, who were the first ones who thought about casting me and got me on board for Gulkanda Tales.”
The 34-year-old who is married to actor Rajkumar Rao has been a part of critically acclaimed films like CityLights (2014), Love Games (2016), Nanu Ki Jaanu (2018), and Badnaam Gali (2019).
