Prime Video released the trailer of the document series Angry Young Men on August 13. The three-part docu-series revolves around the life of legendary writer-duo Salim-Javed, who created the idea of the ‘Angry Young Man’ for the Hindi film industry. Giving a nostalgic ride to their majestic journey the series is expected to start streaming from August 20. It’s also gonna be the first time superstar Salman Khan who is the eldest son of Salim Khan will feature in a project based on his father. Let’s delve into the complete details of the trailer.
The Details of Angry Young Men Trailer
The three-minute-long trailer starts with superstar Salman stating to be “nervous” as it’s the first being he is becoming a part of a project that is deeply driven into the life of father.
Helmed by debutant Namrata Rao, the docu-series features an ample of prominent faces. Celebrities like Salim Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Salman Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Javed Akhtar, Aamir Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Zoya Akhtar, will be gracing the docu-series.
Meanwhile, Javed Akhtar’s daughter, Zoya Akhtar, revealed that the duo worked on 24 films together, out of which 22 were proven blockbusters at that time.
The proud daughter of Javed Akhtar, Zoya said of his father, “It hasn’t happened before, and I don’t think it will happen again.”
Salim Khan even said in the trailer after the release of this docu-series he’ll definitely get calls from Hollywood.
Moreover, prominent Bollywood sensations like Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Shatrughan Sinha also praised the duo a lot.
Hrithik even gets nostalgic revealing how he grew up watching films written by them “carries a little bit of Salim-Javed in their blood.”
Surprisingly, Javed Akhtar’s wife Shabana Azmi not everyone has the same perspective about the duo. As she revealed, some even questioned “What do they think about themselves?”, and quipped she is among them.
In addition, Jaya Bachchan labeled them as “brats.” Javed’s ex-wife Honey Irani admitted that the duo was “not humble.”
As the trailer progresses, Director-producer Karan Johar said because of the power of Salim-Javed’s pen they can demand more money than the lead actor of the film.
The key pont of the trailer is the question “Why did Salim-Javed end their partnership?” which we’re gonna find out in the docu-series.
