On June 6, the Jio team made the announcement of the release date of the series with a poster featuring the show’s new host Anil Kapoor. The show will hit the streaming platform on June 21. Previously hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, this show has been in immense hype regarding its host and release date. Needless to say, it’s incredible news for the fans. Anil Kapoor is replacing Salman Khan as the host of Big Boss OTT 3
On June 6, the official Instagram account of Jio Cinema announced the release date of the series on their official Instagram account. The post includes the official poster of the show featuring the Mr.India actor.
The caption reads, “Presenting ‘Anil Kapoor’ as the new host for Bigg Boss OTT 3!!! From reigning on the big screen to now ruling the Bigg Boss house, Anil Kapoor is kuch extra khaas! Witness his magic in #BiggBossOTT3 starting 21 June, exclusively on JioCinema Premium.”
Moreover, Anil Kapoor also shared his experience with Bigg Boss in a statement. He said, “We are both young at heart. People often say, jokingly, that I’m reverse aging, but Bigg Boss is seriously timeless. It feels a bit like going back to school and trying something new and exciting. Having said that, I’ve always approached all my projects with sincerity and a commitment to hard work and I’m going to bring that same energy (10 times) to Bigg Boss! As for the contestants of the show as per the sources it includes popular names like Shezaan Khan, Shehzada Dhami, Pratiksha Honmukhe, Vicky Jain, Parasa Kalnawat, Thugesh, Maxtern, Dolly Chaiwala, and Vada Pav Didi.
The first season of the popular show’s OTT version was hosted by Karan Johar where actress Divya Agarwal become the winner. After the blockbuster, Salman Khan who also hosts the show on TV took the hosting gig in the OTT version as well. Although fans were certain that the Tiger 3 actor would host this season as well, it’s clear now that it is not gonna happen.
