The full list of the 70th National Film Awards was announced on Friday in the national capital. Arijit Singh earned his second national award for “Kesariya” from the film Brahmastra. The romantic song has become a fan favorite overnight for its soothing tempo and the mesmerizing voice of the singer. On top of that, Singh’s recognition became more special after Pritam received the National Award for Best Music for the same film. Brahmastra Part One: Shiva was helmed by Ayan Mukerji and revolves around a fantasy story. The song “Kesariya” is the first ever song to be released from the film. Arijit Singh earned his second national award
This national award is marked as the second one in the category, Singh won the prestigious award for the first time for his famous song “Binte Dil” from the movie ‘Padmavat.’
Needless to say, the award is incredibly deserving as the song has earned immense love from listeners all over the country.
Apart from best male singer Brahmastra also bagged other two awards at the prestigious event including the Best Film AVGC and Best Music Director for Pritam
The jury members of this year’s prestigious event include the Chairperson of the Feature Film Jury, Rahul Rawail, the Chairperson of the Best Writing on Cinema Jury, Gangadhar Mudalair, and the Chairperson of the Non-Feature Film Jury, Nila Madhab Panda.

Brahmastra Cast and Crew Reaction on The National Award Win
After the list of winners was unveiled, director Ayan Mukerji expressed his gratitude for the recognition.
He said of the win, “It’s a special day for us. I am deeply grateful for the recognition Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva has received at the National Awards.”
Moreover, he highlighted the importance of the film’s music which is composed by Pritam for playing a crucial part in increasing the overall cinematic experience for the audience.
Mukerji explained, “Pritam Da’s compositions, coupled with Amitabh’s lyrics and Arijit’s voice, is something feel so proud and grateful for!”
Meanwhile, the film’s lead actress also shared an Instagram story celebrating the magnificent recognition of the film.
She wrote the official winning poster, “Only Love and Light.”
