Ashton Kutcher reflected on co-star Danny Masterson’s rape allegations. On January 31, in his interview with Esquire, the That ‘70s Show alum talked about a lot of facts. In 2020, Kutcher’s That ‘70s Show and The Ranch co-star was arrested on charges of three counts of rape by force or fear with three separate women.
Ashton Kutcher said he don’t know about the allegations
On January 31, in his interview with Esquire, the 44-year-old said that working with Masterson was a mentor to him. He said, “I wholesale feel for anybody who feels like they were violated in any way.” He also wants Masterson “to be found innocent of the charges brought against him.”
That ‘70s Show alum said Ultimately, I can’t know. I’m not the judge. I’m not the jury. I’m not the DA. I’m not the victim. And I’m not the accused. And so, in that case, I don’t have a space to comment.” After pausing, as the outlet noted, he added, “I just don’t know.”
Masterson’s attorney asserted his client’s innocence after his arrest in a statement, “We’re confident that he will be exonerated when all the evidence finally comes to light and witnesses have the opportunity to testify.”
However, in January 2021 the actor pleaded not guilty to the charges. In November 2022, the case has declared a mistrial.
The L.A. County District Attorney’s office shared a statement of their disappointment with the outcome. The statement follows, We also want to give our heartfelt appreciation to the victims for bravely stepping forward and recounting their harrowing experiences. News read at the time. “We also are thankful for the hard work of the prosecution team and we will now consider our next steps as it relates to prosecuting this case.”
Apart from that, Ashton also talked about his failed marriage with his ex-wife Demi Moore. He said, “Nothing makes you feel like a failure like divorce. Divorce feels like a wholesale f–king failure. You failed at marriage.”
