Austin Butler is currently in a lot of limelight for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in the 2022 film Elvis. The actor gets a lot of appreciation for adopting the accent of the King of Rock N Roll. Bulter even won a Golden Globe and has been nominated in the Best Actor category in The Academy Award. However, his Dune 2 co-star Dave Bautista revealed he isn’t sounded like Elvis anymore. Bautista said Everything about Austin Butler’s demeanor is terrifying
In an interview with USA Today the 54-year-old revealed his Dune 2 co-star Austin has bid farewell to his Elvis accent. He said, “I don’t know who this guy was but It’s not Elvis. His voice is different, his look is different. Everything about his demeanor is terrifying.”
Butler will play younger brother Feyd-Rautha in the film. Bautista continued, “He’s just the sweetest guy you’ll ever meet.”
After playing Elvis Autin’s voice get a sultry Southern accent which fans noticed. In his Golden Globe Award acceptance speech, the 31-year-old stated, “I don’t think I sound like him still, but I guess I must, because I hear it all the time. I often liken it to when somebody lives in another country for a long time. I had three years where that was my only focus, so I’m sure there’s pieces of him in my DNA and I will always be linked to him.”
He, later on, in the Los Angeles Times defended later that month, saying that, “certain muscular habits” must still “pop up” due to the character. He said, “If I was trying to sound like Elvis, I would sound very different right now. I think it’s sort of amusing to me how much people want to focus on this one thing.”
