Austin Butler is receiving a lot of appreciation for his work in Elvis. However, it couldn’t have been possible without the help of the King of Rock & Rolls’s late child Lisa Marie Presley. Lisa Marie passed away this January. While talking with Entertainment Tonight at the 2023 SAG Awards the actor the time working with her.
Austin Butler said working with Lisa Marie is the greatest gift of his life
The actor said at the 2023 SAG Awards on his film, “It’s just exciting, it’s just exciting to be a part of this.” He was also nominated in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor category in the award. Moreover, the 31-year-old talked about Elvis’s late daughter Lisa Marie Presley. He said, “It’s just part of that profound privilege that I feel to relate to them in some way. Lisa was such an extraordinary woman. The times that I spent with her were some of the greatest gifts of my life. And to now be able to carry on her legacy in this way, I feel profoundly on it.”
Moreover, he talked about his major nominations such as the 2023 Oscars. Butler said, “I think back to that little kid that was walking around in different colored t-shirts as an extra in TV shows, and I just think what would he make of all of this? It’s special.”
Later on, he shared what advice he would give to his younger self. The Golden Globe winner said, “Keep with it, you know. Focus on the work. Not all the noise around it.”Austin then revealed whom he gonna take with him as his Oscar date. He said, “One of my best friends since I was 17, a guy named James who then became my agent. I wouldn’t have my life as an actor without him. So it’s my profound privilege to be able to bring him with me.”
