Bachelor Nation’s Kaitlyn Bristowe called it quits with fiancé Jason Tartick. On August 6, Tartick shared a statement on Instagram revealing that they are on their separate ways right now. Jason said in the statement it’s heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye to Kaitlyn
The 34-year-old shared in the post, “After sharing the news with family and close friends first and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement. We are thankful for all of you who gave us the time and space to process this life-altering decision as there are many emotions and changes to navigate.”
The statement continues, “Friendship is incredibly important to both of us. We feel grateful to be ending our engagement with love and respect for each other.”
Moreover, Jason continued, “It’s heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but our care and admiration for one another will never die.”
The couple first met in January 2019 at the 38-year-old reality star’s podcast Kaitlyn’s Off the Vine. Afterward, she canceled her engagement to then-fiancé Shawn Booth.
Later on, Jason opened up on Today about their relationship. He said, “We were friends. a little banter here and there, and then the friendship turned into a relationship.”
Meanwhile, Kaitlyn also said in her podcast, “His energy is electric. That’s the kind of vibe I get from him, that you’ve just known him for a long time. That’s the vibe I got from him from the get-go.”
