Ben Affleck thinks ex-wife Jennifer Lopez’s talent is unstoppable. Nearly two months after the songstress filed for divorce after two years of marriage, Affleck praised her for her performance in the upcoming movie Unstoppable, which he co-produced. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight published on November 3, the actor talked about the film where he praised his ex-wife. Sitting alongside his producing partner Matt Damon and actor Cillian Murphy the actor got candid about the expectations he has from the movie. Let’s see some significant details of the interview.
Ben Affleck said the movie is rooted in the passion of really talented artists
Talking with the entertainment portal, Affleck praised the actors of the film adding, “Unstoppable is a very different movie than this, but in a way, it’s similarly rooted in the passion of really talented artists. Billy Goldenberg and Jennifer and Don Cheadle and Jharrel [Jerome], and Bobby Cannavale, all were really passionate about this film.”
He continues, “It speaks to a certain kind of thing I guess we’re drawn to. We really believe in the power of storytelling when the people involved in it are deeply connected to the story.”
In fact, Ben specifically mentioned his ex admiring the talent the Hustlers alum has.
“Jennifer’s spectacular,” he added.”We believed in the right people, and Unstoppable is another example of that.”
Despite parting ways Ben and Jennifer didn’t have any awkwardness as director William Goldenberg said in Toronto International Film Festival in September.
“It’s always been about the movie, and that’s their personal business,” Goldenberg revealed. “We just kept it about the movie. We just kept her eye on the prize.”
Ben who has yet to comment on divorce made this appreciation a few weeks after Jennifer broke the silence on the split during a conversation with Interview magazine.
“You have to be complete, if you want something that’s more complete,” The Boy Next Door star explained. “You have to be good on your own. I thought I learned that, but I didn’t. And then, this summer, I had to be like, ‘I need to go off and be on my own. I want to prove to myself that I can do that.'”
She continues, “Being in a relationship doesn’t define me. I can’t be looking for happiness in other people. I have to have happiness within myself.”
