Anil Kapoor is keeping record straight regarding the buzz around his taking the hosting gig in upcoming ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’ replacing superstar Salman Khan. On 18 June during the launch of the popular reality show at Mumbai the actor was asked about his new role as the host of the show by stand-up comedian and TV personality Munawar Faruqui. He opened up about his hosting skills and on comparisons with former host and actor Salman Khan.
The first season of the popular reality show’s OTT version was hosted by Karan Johar where actress Divya Agarwal won the first title. Later on, Salman Khan who also hosts the show on TV also hosted the OTT version as well. Despite fan’s anticipation of seeing him as a host in this season as well, the makers announced the entry of Kapoor. Let’s check out what Anil Kapoor said about his comparison with the Tiger 3 actor.
Anil Kapoor said no one can replace Salman Khan
While Munawar asked him about the comparison the audience will make about their hosting skills, Kapoor said, “Munawar, this is a very wrong question which has been put to me. No one can replace Salman Khan, and no one can replace Anil Kapoor as well. Salman is very happy, I spoke to him earlier about this. Let’s not create any controversy, that will happen in Bigg Boss’ house.”
Moreover, the actor also joked about taking hosting tips from his wife Sunita.
“Everyone in my family was very excited about it. I was really surprised that my wife was very excited about the fact that I would be hosting Bigg Boss. Unki prerna leke aaya hoon (I have taken tips and inspiration from her and come here). She lightly said that you already know how to take care of the house as you have seen me do it, so you are ready to host Bigg Boss now,” said the actor.
As per the sources the contestants of the show will include popular names like Shezaan Khan, Shehzada Dhami, Pratiksha Honmukhe, Vicky Jain, Parasa Kalnawat, Thugesh, Maxtern, Dolly Chaiwala and Vada Pav Didi.
Previously, after the announcement of his entry Kapoor has shared his excitement of being part of the project. He said,“I’ve always approached all my projects with sincerity and a commitment to hard work and I’m going to bring that same energy (10 times) to Bigg Boss! Unscripted reality has something for everyone – laughter, drama, and surprising twists, and I can’t wait to bring that same energy (10 times) to Bigg Boss! Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 will start streaming from this Friday, June 21.
