Days after Miley failed to acknowledge Billy Ray while accepting the Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year awards at the 2024 Grammys the singer-actor posted a photo on February 6 with his of four months Firerose cuddling up in a field together, captioning, “Love is the answer.”
Despite ignoring her dad the 31-year-old did give a shoutout to her mom Tish, sister Brandi Cyrus and boyfriend Maxx Morando, who were in the audience.
“Thank you all so much,” she joked before ending her speech , “I don’t think I forgot anyone, but I might’ve forgotten underwear. Bye!”
In addition the “Wrecking Ball” also dropped a post on Instagram on Feb. 5 thanking her loved ones again. “To my mommy @tishcyruspurcell I love you more than anything in the entire universe,” the former Disney alum wrote, “my family, @brandicyrus thank you for being there like always, my godmother @dollyparton – I felt your fairy dust everywhere.”
Although the “Flowers” singer and her father were super close during Hannah Montana, they drifted apart after his divorce from her mom.
A close source of the singer told E-news, “The divorce between her parents have put a strain on her relationship with her dad and it’s been hard to connect with him in the last year.”
Few days ago Tish reflected on her divorce from the Country singer with whom she also shares kids Trace Cyrus, 34, Braison Cyrus, 29, and Noah Cyrus, 23 during an appearance on Call Her Daddy.
“It was the worst thing, it was not good,” she said on the Feb. 6 episode of the podcast. “I could not eat, I could not sleep, I could not stop crying.”
Tish is currently married to Dominic Purcell with whom she tied the knot in a Malibu ceremony in August 2023.
