Brendan Fraser talked about the success of his film ‘The Whale’. The actor gained a lot of fame and recognition for this 2022 film. However, he thinks the success of this film would have been ‘Too Much, Too Soon’ if it happened early in his career. Entertainment News shared the clip from the AARP Movies for Grownups Awards where the actor received Best Actor for his performance in the film. Moreover, the actor also gets emotional while accepting the award.
Brendan Fraser feels more comfortable, qualified, and confident in this stage of his career
At the AARP Movies for Grownups Awards the 54-year-old look back to the evolution of his career. The Breakout alum received the Best Actor award and get a little emotional while talking about his success in later life. Fraser revealed to be grateful for the success he receiving now. He said, “I know life doesn’t begin at 50.”But it can yield renewal and reward beyond our wildest dreams.”
Later on, he tearfully revealed, “I wouldn’t have known what to do with it, 20-25 years ago. It would have been too much, too soon.”
Moreover, the actor revealed how comfortable, qualified, and confident he feels in this later growth of his career. He said, “Now that I’m 54, I feel more comfortable, more qualified, more confident. And I feel happier for those who are coming up, the way I did.”
Talking about his earlier role he gained a lot of fame for his role as Rick O’Connell in The Mummy franchise. However, his role in last year’s film ‘The Whale’ indeed proved to be a remarkable film in his entire career. The actor even get an Oscar nomination this year for this film.
