BTS’ Jin has officially shared details of his upcoming solo album. After completing his mandatory military service the K-pop sensation is focusing on his solo music career. In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar Korea, he shared an insight on his highly anticipated solo album. The singer also shared an interesting metaphor of ice cream flavors to describe the variety in his music. In the magazine cover, Jin was seen making his first appearance as the global ambassador for the Italian luxury brand Gucci. Let’s check out what details Jin shared about the album.
BTS’ Jin said he won’t be giving away any spoilers
Jin’s fan page on X (formerly Twitter) shared the interview of the singer.
The “Astronaut” singer shared, “Without giving away any spoilers… it seems like it will be fun when performing. I can’t say for sure since each song is different, but if I were to compare them to ice cream flavours, there’s a soda flavour, popping candy, and dark chocolate. I hope you’ll look forward to it.”
The singer’s last project was his debut solo single “The Astronaut”, which he co-wrote with the British rock band Coldplay. Later on, the song is accompanied by a heartwarming music video. The song was promoted as a temporary goodbye from his fans ahead of his military service which began in October of 2022. It gained immense praise from the listeners.
As for his time after getting discharged from military service, Jin explained, “These days, I’m truly happy. I’ve been busy working every day lately. The fact that I’m working even at this very moment makes me happy, and that’s why I’m smiling. I want to continue bringing happiness to ARMY through my work. If someone can become happy because of me, how great of a happiness is that!”
Jin, whose real name is Kim Seok-jin, is the most senior member of BTS. Moreover, he was also the first member of the Grammy-nominated band to begin his 18-month military service in December 2022.
After officially completing his duty in June 2024, the 31-year-old musician got a warm felicitation from his fellow bandmates Jungkook, Jimin, V, RM, Suga, and J-Hope.
Needless to say, BTS Army (The name of the band’s fandom) is looking forward to this upcoming album.
