BTS’ RM aka Kim Namjoon is all set for his new solo album ‘Indigo’. The album will be released in December. The songwriter-rapper announced it on November 10 via his Instagram account. Moreover, the teaser was released today. Ram’s solo album comes after the solo album of his bandmates J-hope and Jin. The other members V, Suga, Jimin, and JungKook expected to follow suit next year. ‘Indigo’ is ready to release on December 2
The leader of the biggest K-pop band announced the news on his official Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/CkyM3FQPMge/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link) account on November 10. The 29-year-old posted a ‘mood cut’ captioning,”‘Indigo’ RM 1st Solo Album, 12/2.” Later on, he gave the details of the time which was on December 2 at 2 p.m. KST (10:30 am IST).
‘Indigo’ is marked as Namjoon’s first-ever solo album. However, previously he has released two mixtapes. 2015’s ‘RM’ and 2018’s ‘mono’. Talking about his first-ever solo album RM said in a LIVE on Weverse, “If Mono album was the 25 years old me, this will be about me as a 29-year-old.”
Moreover, he revealed he had worked for almost 4 years to make this album. This album will undoubtedly be a special thing for the Armys.
BTS’ agency Big Hit Entertainment also released a statement regarding his new album. “RM has already given fans an honest look into his world through two mixtapes. Through ‘Indigo’, RM delivers his candid thoughts and feelings and showcases wide-ranging music through collaborations with various artists.”- the statement follows.
BTS members are currently on a hiatus and focusing on their solo projects. Moreover, they will soon be enlisting for South Korean mandatory military service. The eldest member of the group Jin,30, will reportedly join the military next month.
