Less than two months after becoming a mom to baby No. 3 with estranged husband Offset, rapper Cardi B is now in hospital due to a medical emergency. After the rapper canceled her performance at Atlanta’s ONE MusicFest, she unveiled the real reason for backing off at the last moment. On October 23, Cardi shared an Instagram addressing how she’s been recovering from a medical condition. However, she didn’t disclose the condition she’s been suffering with. Cardi B said her heart breaking to miss the performance
The 32-year-old started her Instagram post by writing, “I am so sad to share this news but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple of days and I won’t be able to perform at ONE MusicFest.”
The “WAP” rapper who kept her condition under wraps opened up about her immense regret over the cancellation of the concert, adding, “It breaks my heart that I won’t get to see my fans this weekend and I really wish I could be there.”
She ended the note writing, “Thank you for understanding and I’ll be back better and stronger soon. Don’t worry. Love yall.”
After Cardi’s announcement, ONE MusicFest showed their support of the Grammy winner’s decision to rule out the show due to “ongoing health issues.” Moreover, they also requested everyone to help her with her speedy recovery. They wrote on their official Instagram, “Let’s all keep her in our prayers for a full recovery!”
“We are working hard to find a replacement at this late date,” the message added. “More to come soon.”
The medical emergency comes less than two months after the rapper welcomed her third child with estranged husband Offset. She filed for divorce from the Migos member just one month after their child’s birth following seven years of marriage.
The rapper who also shares daughter Kulture, 6, and son Wave, 3, with Offset also shared a cryptic note ahead of her third child’s birth hinting at the turbulent relationship with the ‘Open It Up’ rapper.
She wrote on August 1 addressing her unborn child, “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all!”
Cardi B continues, “You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!”
